At 10 minutes in feet of our house, by a way in border of a wood, you will discover the hamlet of Fountains. You will see a former wash house, a quiet and fresh place there, the water of which passes by in a former mill. Enter the mill, and you will discover the entrance of the Gallo-Roman aqueduct, which fed Saintes’ thermal baths.
In approximately 3 km (direction St-Jean d’ Angély), you will find the other source of this aqueduct, fitted out so that we can penetrate there.
